One of our favourite innovations is the Dental Monitoring app, which allows you to stay connected with our team and track your progress no matter where you are.

What is Dental Monitoring?

Dental Monitoring is a cutting-edge orthodontic software that lets us monitor your treatment remotely using your smartphone. The app works together with our in-practice software so that we can review your progress and communicate with you in real time.

Dr Brittany Shearn is passionate about integrating this technology into our patient care. Her expertise ensures your treatment is as seamless and accurate as possible.

How does
Dental Monitoring work?

Before starting, we’ll assess your teeth and jaws to design a personalised orthodontic treatment plan. Once your plan is in place, we’ll help you set up the Dental Monitoring app.

Every 7–10 days, you’ll use the app to take and send quick “smile selfies.” Our team will review your photos and compare them to your digital treatment plan.

If everything is progressing as expected, there’s no need for an in-person appointment.

If your teeth are moving faster than planned, we may even accelerate your aligner schedule, meaning a shorter overall treatment time!

How Dental Monitoring
enhances your treatment

During your consultation, we’ll create a 3D digital model of your teeth using our 3D iTero scanner. This model forms the basis of your treatment plan and allows us to compare your progress precisely through the Dental Monitoring system.

Each photo you send is processed through 3D analysis software, giving us highly detailed feedback on how your teeth are moving. This means faster adjustments, more accurate tracking, fewer appointments, and often shorter treatment times.
